Bill fucked up, simple as that. I actually do think Bill loves Sookie. But he violated her trust right from the beginning. And he doesn’t get it. He’s holding onto old BS and the forces work hard to pull him away. She has to say it twice to get rid of him.
I know people thought the rescinding of Eric was really funny (I know I did). But note how much emotion plays into the rescinding. It matters how both parties feel about the situation.
Eric is logical, he knows that vampires bring death and sadness into the lives of humans. He totally understands why his invitation is being rescinded. He doesn’t like it but he gets it. It’s why he gave the blood sealed deed to Sookie in the first place.
